The program is designed to allow guests to experience yoga in a natural and peaceful environment. A perfect retreat to gain new energy. We offer yoga lessons in the morning and the afternoons, excursions along with local plant-based food - all a perfect starting point for active experiences and better health. THE YOGA LESSONS
TEACHER: ANE BERG VIGHALS
Karlien is a locally based Yoga teacher and has been a Yoga practitioner since a very young age; “it was one of my after-school activities". At the age of 21she first travelled to India, where her fascination for Yoga grew. Karlien has completed a 4-year Yoga Teacher Training, in the European Sadhana Teacher Training School. She stayed at the Sivananda Meenakshi Ashram in India to learn from Sivananda teachers and continue to learn and enroll in different teacher trainings to offer the best possible care in her class.
The yoga classes are a mixture of Hatha yoga, calm vinyasa (yoga flow), yin yoga, breathing exercises and mindfulness meditation. We start the day with a soft morning yoga class (60 minutes), to wake up our bodies after a great night sleep and to help us prepare our hips, spine, and our energy through breathing for a morning meditation session in The Chapel.
The yoga classes take place in the beautiful garden. While we practice outdoors, surrounded by the natural park of Almijara, we deepen our breathing, focusing on renewing the air in our lungs and focus on learning new healthy breathing patterns. Practicing outdoors also allows us to relax due to the soothing effect of nature on our nervous system..Yoga is suitable for everyone regardless of age and physical form and you do not need to have experience with yoga before. Here you work on your own level and with your own starting point. We explain the exercises clearly and adapt to your individual needs.
The yoga / hiking vacation will be a break from daily demands and obligations. We offer the opportunity to stop, make time for yourself, to let go of tensions related to stress, bad posture, bad sleeping or eating habits. When the program is complete, the participants have practiced yoga and meditation every day, hiked in the mountains, relaxed, and taken in nature's healing effect on body and soul.Guests will travel home with inspiration and better health! This retreat is ideal for singles, couples, friends or groups..
Ane works as a singer and yoga teacher. She comes from the beautiful northern Norwegian city of Tromsø, but currently lives in Trondheim. Ane has been teaching yoga for over 10 years, and made the first yoga video in 2015, and has since produced several hundreds of videos. Ane's Youtube channel is the largest Norwegian yoga channel in the market. Ane has an education at Atman Yoga School inVinyasa Yoga (200 hours) In addition, she has an education in Yin Yoga and MBSR mindfulness at Mindful Academy International.
Ane focuses on teaching simple and basic yoga that is suitable for all ages, and with a good dose of humor and a twinkle in the eye. The yoga holiday is a break from demands and achievement, and of course an opportunity for replenishment and inspiration in a hectic everyday life. The yoga classes take place in the beautiful garden. Practicing outdoors also allows us to relax due to the soothing effect of nature on our nervous system. There is nothing like practicing yoga in the open air. The breath becomes freer, the perspective becomes larger, and you can feel that the body is filled with life energy. The yoga classes are a mixture of hatha yoga, calm vinyasa (yoga flow), yin yoga, breathing exercises and mindfulness meditation.
Yoga is suitable for everyone regardless of age and physical form and you do not need to have experience with yoga before. Here you work on your own level and with your own starting point.
Ane starts the day with soft morning yoga (Hatha / calm vinyasa) and ends with a session with Yin yoga. She may also have a few days with slightly longer sessions. For example, a breathing workshop and a mindfulness workshop. Ane has also taught something she has called Yoga Bata which has become very popular. It is a mixture of yoga and Tabata.
When the program is complete, the participants have practiced yoga and meditation every day, relaxed, and taken in nature's healing effect on body and soul. Some have also hiked in the mountains. Guests will travel home with inspiration and better health!
EXCURSION
One of the days is set for excursion for those who want to explore this beautiful region. Or maybe just spend a relaxing day on one of the small Mediterranean beaches?
VISIT GRANADA & ALHAMBRA (8 HOURS)
• Join us on an excursion to Granada and Alhambra. Starting off visiting Alhambra, the 13th century old palace and gardens are among the finest Islamic constructions in the world. Set on the footsteps of the Sierra Nevada peaks, it is a true jewel. Next up, we explore the old Arabic architecture and narrow streets of Granada (Albaicín), filled with tapas bars and Spanish/Moorish culture. Finishing off with a delicious lunch overlooking the beautiful views of Alhambra and the old city of Granada, it will leave you wanting to come back again and again.
• Price: 180€ per person, 10 hours, minimum 5 people.
The excursion is not included in the price and is paid upon registration.
